This Privacy Notice describes how FHelp Ltd ("FHelp", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use the FHelp app (the "Service"). FHelp Ltd is the data controller.

1. Personal data we collect

• Account data — email address, password hash, display name.
• Profile & health inputs — age, sex, height, weight, activity level, goals.
• Body scan photos — images you submit for body composition estimates.
• Food photos & meal logs — images and the AI-derived calorie estimates.
• Usage & device data — log data, device identifiers, IP address, crash reports.
• Support messages — anything you send us when contacting support.
• Billing data — handled by Paddle (see "Sharing" below); we receive subscription status, customer ID, and country/tax info.

2. Why we use it & legal basis

• Provide the Service (contract): account, scans, plans, meal logging.
• Improve the Service (legitimate interests): analytics, model accuracy, debugging.
• Security & fraud prevention (legitimate interests / legal obligation).
• Customer support (contract / legitimate interests).
• Marketing emails (consent, where required) — you can opt out at any time.

3. Sharing

We share personal data only with:

• Subprocessors providing hosting, database, AI inference, analytics, email and error monitoring under contract.
• Paddle.com Market Limited, our Merchant of Record, for sale of the product, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where strictly necessary.
• Authorities where required by law or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. International transfers

Personal data may be processed outside the UK/EEA. Where this happens we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses with appropriate technical and organisational safeguards.

5. Retention

We keep account data while your account is active and for up to 12 months after deletion to handle disputes and comply with legal obligations. Body scan and food photos are kept while you keep the related entry in your history; deleting an entry deletes the image. Log data is kept for up to 90 days.

6. Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including UK GDPR / EU GDPR) you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or port your personal data, object to processing, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (for UK users, the ICO). We will respond within one month.

7. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege server permissions. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong unique password.

8. Cookies

We use only essential cookies and similar storage required to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies.

9. Children

FHelp is not intended for users under 16.
